The Director- Strategic Partner reports to the VP - Product and Innovation. This team is responsible for helping the organization solve its most challenging issues. Issues ranging from defining how to capture growth opportunities, to redefining operations, to rapidly bringing to market new differentiated offerings. The team partners with senior leaders to gain a deeper understanding, evaluate options, and provide recommendations. Along the way, the team works cross functionally to bring recommendations to life. The range of topics the team is responsible for, includes, but is not limited to: EyeMed’s strategic plan and roadmap, Opportunity identification and commercialization – e.g., market entry, new lines of business, M&A due diligence, Product and service innovation, Business intelligence, Presentations to Luxottica senior leadership and external forums.
Leverage company and market information to assess current issues, identify key implications and trends, and develop strategies to successfully support growth now and in the future
Act as thought partner to senior leadership team – analyze data, develop business cases, and collaborate with key partners to brainstorm innovative ideas
Structure and support strategic initiatives: manage 1-2 key strategic initiatives, supporting functional area executives with appropriate subject matter expertise and resources
Support strategic partnerships – EyeMed Product & Innovation liaison with key partners both within and outside the organization
Build strong cross-functional relationships
Deliver effective verbal counsel and group presentations
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
10+ years of experience in strategy, continuous improvement, or related field
Strong communication skills: Writes and presents effectively; strong ability to adapt delivery and style to fit the audience and message; able to deliver messages that are well received and clearly understood
Able to find solutions to difficult and highly complex problems
Able to extract information quickly, fill in gaps, when working in situations where limited data is available
Demonstrated success in problem solving, collaboration and communication
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify/address problems and meet deadlines
Able to define an effective process, work flow, and systems design; and capable of developing measurable metrics to track progress.
